Lois A. Wittich

Lois Wittich is one of the few artists worldwide that had the opportunity and honor of living and studying with one of Japan's Living National Treasures in Art, Toyo Kaneshige of Imbe Bizen-cho.  She was with him and his family for one year.  Also while studying with Kaneshige, Lois was a student of a sumi ink master and had weekly sessions with the master.  You can readily see this unique and dynamic influence in Lois' brush work.

Lois' nudes are elegant and depict the beauty and sacredness of the human form.  Her knowledge of human anatomy along with her confidence in brushstroke and pen execution and years of studying anatomy and drawing the human form are all distilled down to potent simplicity where the adage is "less is more definitely comes into visual reality.
